What changed. Amazon added a 3.5% surcharge to FBA fulfilment fees in the US and Canada. It applies to the fulfilment fee, not the sale price. Amazon’s notice

What to do, by when.

  1. Before April 17: raise your repricer’s floor price by the surcharge, or it will sell below your margin target.
  2. Before April 17: re-run margins on your heaviest SKUs first. The surcharge is a percentage of the fulfilment fee, so the biggest fees move most in dollars.
  3. At your next reorder: check whether a smaller package moves any SKU into a cheaper size tier.

Alerts are drafted with AI. The value is in the arithmetic: every cost figure is computed from the marketplace’s published rate and your numbers, and every change links to its official source so you can check it.
Is this advice?
